Our exciting ‘Change School’ project continues this year

The Story zones project launched this year with visits to the Pitt Rivers and Natural History museums in Oxford to gain inspiration for stories: The children came back with tales of dinosaurs and shrunken heads and are busily writing and telling stories not dissimilar to the film 'Night at the museum' where artefacts come to life!
This year our focus is not only on telling stories but creating zones where stories can be shared and enjoyed. New artists have been recruited to come and work with us to design and make a story arena outside, and various temporary structures which can be moved around the school for the purpose of story telling.
Phillipa Tipper is back to teach children how to tell and perform stories and Matt Sage a local musician has already been writing ballads and rock and roll numbers with groups of children.
Watch this space, it should be an exciting time for us at West Kidlington school!
