West Kidlington Primary and Nursery School Character Award has been written by the school in memory of a special pupil in the school who sadly died in May 2018. She was tenacious, resilient and enjoyed being a child. Her spirit and attitude to learning new things has been captured through our Character Award. The aims of our Character Award are:
- To enjoy, celebrate and encourage all that makes childhood special.
- To value activities which are fun but also help children to learn more about themselves, others and the world around them.
- To encourage children to become part of a group, working towards a common goal.
- To encourage children to think about the needs of others within and beyond their local community.
- To support children in taking action to support themselves and others.
